Primary
Grades 3-6
Our primary lessons follow the Australia curriculum and match your little one’s school content to get them caught up and loving learning again.
Secondary
Grades 7-10
Our secondary lessons follow the Australian curriculum and are structured to ease new students into the high school assessment methods while readying older students for ATAR.
ATAR
Grades 11-12
Our ATAR sessions follow the QCAA curriculum to assist students in their internal and external studies throughout grades 11 and 12.
Curriculum
English
Our reading, spelling and writing programs aim to strengthen students’ comprehension, grammar and creative expression. We help students develop confidence whether they are starting grade 3 or sitting final exams in grade 12!
Math
Our math’s programs aim to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and computational fluency. We help students develop confidence whether they are learning fundamentals in grade 3 or tackling algebra in grade 12!

Our North Lakes centre is in a classroom at the YMCA North Lakes, right next to the library, Westfield shopping centre and central bus station.
Our Aspley centre is in a classroom at Aspley Special School, right next to Aspley State High School on the corner of Dorville and Zillmere Rd.

Who are the tutors?
We are a group of university students who understand the school curriculum well as we have recently done it ourselves. Our tutors are studying a variety of degrees such as science, engineering, law, psychology, and teaching, that allows us to provide well rounded advice to our high school students and experience for our younger students.
We have been tutoring since 2020 and look forward to continuing!

About Us
Lakes Tutoring was established in 2020 by university students Sienna and Ryan after they felt North Lakes and its surrounding suburbs lacked affordable and personal tutoring that aligned directly with students’ curriculums.
Having been successful in high school and tertiary education, they felt students were struggling with their studies simply because they weren’t given enough time to learn.
A bit of personalised learning time at a reasonable cost is all it can take for a student to gain back their confidence.
